For the eleventh consecutive year, the National Baker of the Year award has gone to Bartholomew Sweetling of Sweetling & Sons, an outcome the awards committee described as "a testament to enduring quality" and which everyone else described as Tuesday.

The runner-up, who has finished second eleven times, has stopped attending the ceremony but continues to be nominated.
